The Wood Extension offers lift systems that pop up, down, slide, swivel and pivot in furniture, built-in cabinetry, floors, walls and ceilings. All of our furniture pieces are finished on all sides, so they may be placed at the foot of the bed, against a wall or as a room divider.
We make it easy for you. Choose from custom design (an original concept), from our signature collection (point and order), or retrofit a favorite piece that you own.
All projects start with the actual measurements (W” H” D”) of the flat panel TV, and/or equipment that may be needed in the same cabinet. These dimensions will determine the size and type of lift used and the overall size of the piece of furniture.

Finishes
Our signature collection cabinet styles are also used as color references, only yo guide production of the final finish. It should be understood that each piece completed by The Wood Extension is finished by hand and is unique unto itself. All distressing, color applied and sheen of the varnish shall blend with that of the approved color reference. In addition, variation in color, application of color, between the color reference and finished product may vary in shade up to 25% due to inherent natural characteristics and variations in the wood color, porosity, grain, texture of different wood species, changing lighting conditions and are not to be considered defective by any reason of the natural variations. This effort is what differentiates between hand finishing and factory assembly line finishes.
Custom Finishes – Clients shall provide a color sample to be reproduced. Charges to reproduce client sample are based on time and material with a $100 minimum charge. The Wood Extension will provide a color board showing up to 3 variations. The approved sample must be signed, dated and returned before The Wood Extension proceeds with finishing stage of each project.
